Si è svolto anche quest'anno, come negli anni passati, con succeso, il centro estivo di Santa Maria in Trastevere, meglio noto come I Love SMIT. Questo appuntamento attesissimo da tutti i giovani e giovanissimi di Trastevere, dal 10 Giugno al 24 Giugno, è stato organizzato con entusiasmo e gioia dall'ormai rodatissimo gruppo di ragazzi supervisionati da Danilo Catini, la signora Luigina e con il supporto di Don Marco Gnavi: il gruppo forte dell'esperienza ha anche quest'anno organizzato e gestitto il tutto in formula totalmente gratuita, un esercito di volontari come non se ne vedono più ormai; il loro compenso? "il sorriso dei bambini e dei genitori" commenta Danilo Catini. Visibile l'emozione, la forza e l'entusiasmo negli occhi di tutti i ragazzi del gruppo riconoscibile anche quest'anno attraverso le magliette gialle con il cuore rosso gentilmente offerte dal Presidente del Consiglio del Municipio Roma Centro Storico, Stefano Marin. Carichi già dalle prime ore del mattino, pronti ad organizzare le giornate dei piccolissimi di Trastevere, Danilo, Luigina e tutti i ragazzi del gruppo hanno saputo, quest'anno come negli anni passsati, rendere indimenticabili i 14 giorni del centro estivo per tutti i 200 piccoli partecipanti organizzando sfide, merende, saggi musicali e insegnando l'integrazione e l'uguglianza dei popoli (il tema del centro estivo di quest'anno) attraverso le storie e i giochi sempre divertentissimi. La giornata finale di Venerdì 24 Giugno è stata la ciliegina sulla torta di due settimane speciali per tutti, per Danilo (che si è commosso durante i saluti e ringraziamenti) per Luigina e per Don Marco, per gli animatori che hanno ballato e cantato con i piccoli e i piccolissimi, e per i genitori e i parenti dei giovanissimi ospiti del centro estivo che sono venuti per celebrare il lavoro e ringraziare il gruppo. The Museums of Trastevere
Trastevere has an excellent museum as the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, located in Piazza Sant'Egidio, which hosts the permanent exhibition dedicated to folklore and Roman dialect poets, but also many temporary exhibitions, above all photographic ones.
But that is not the only museum of the district: the House of Memory and History presents exhibitions and events to keep alive the memory of anti-fascism, Resistance and Liberation war; the Corsini Gallery collects pictures from the XIV-XVIII centuries; finally, the Botanic Garden located in the park of Villa Corsini, has a didactic and scientific purpose and hosts exhibitions, courses, conferences and symposiums dedicated to ecology and urban environment.
